The Lake Cathie resident has recently signed on to model for Bella Management in Sydney, on a two year contract. She will move to the city in March.
Kayla said she’s incredibly excited and will follow her passion for fashion through her work.
“I’d love to do high end fashion editorial, however I’ll probably start off doing commercials,” she said.
Kayla said she believes the fashion industry has done a lot to incorporate models of different shapes and sizes.
Kayla said there are petite models but traditional catwalk models are between 170-173cm tall.
Kayla has been told that her height won’t be an issue with securing work, as Bella Management are impressed with her look.
She describes her own sense of style as being classy, a little vintage and Parisian.
Eventually Kayla said she would love to move overseas, to work in France or anywhere in Europe.
Over the past year Kayla has been studying an online event management course through TAFE NSW. She said her course will compliment her work in the fashion industry.
While she does indulge in chocolate and icecream, Kayla said she maintains a healthy and active lifestyle.
Her diet is prominently clear of any added sugar.
Kayla is looking forward to embracing the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
“I grew up in Penrith and I’m very much a city girl,” she said.
